A global study of household constraints, public provision and measures to protect equitable participation
Prolonged economic stress can affect education before it appears as formal withdrawal. Income loss, irregular work, higher household burdens and weakening public services may alter attendance, readiness to learn, transition and completion. The consequences are distributed unevenly and can compound prior disadvantage.
