Website language
The authoritative public website is currently provided in English. A translated explanation may support access, but it does not alter the English public record or the stated authoritative language of a controlled document.
Controlled translations
- A translation identifies the source document number and edition.
- The document record states whether the translation is authoritative or informative.
- Corrections and revisions are controlled against the source edition.
- Where meanings differ, the language identified as authoritative in the applicable record governs.
Language during assessment
ICEQC determines whether evidence, interviews and decision records can be assessed reliably in the languages required by the proposed scope. Translation or interpretation arrangements must preserve accuracy, confidentiality, independence and traceability.
