The authoritative public record
The ICEQC Public Certificate Register is the authoritative source for the current scope, validity and status of certification issued by ICEQC. A certificate becomes publicly effective only after an authorized positive decision has been implemented and the certificate and register record are active and consistent.
A downloaded certificate, printed copy, image, translation, certification mark, digital badge, QR code, website statement or third-party directory is a representation of certification information. It does not establish current status independently of the register. Where a representation conflicts with the register, users should rely on the current register record and report the inconsistency.
What the register verifies
- The unique ICEQC certificate number and public verification identity.
- The verified legal name of the certificate holder and any controlled trading name.
- The certification object: Education Organization, Education Technology Service or Educational Product.
- The exact certified scope, included components and material exclusions.
- The applicable ICEQC scheme, requirement set, edition and confirmed modules.
- The decision, issue, effective and expiry dates.
- The current public status and the date from which that status applies.
- Included sites, delivery modes, service configurations, product models or versions where material to the scope.
Four checks before relying on a certificate
1 — Find the controlled record
Enter the complete ICEQC certificate number. If the number is unavailable, search the certificate holder's accurate legal name rather than a marketing phrase or an unverified brand.
2 — Match the legal holder
Confirm that the legal entity making the claim is the holder named in the record. A parent, subsidiary, franchisee, partner, distributor or related brand is not included merely because of its relationship with the holder.
3 — Read the object and scope
Confirm that the organization, service, platform, product, site, programme, delivery mode, model or version on which you intend to rely is expressly included and is not listed as an exclusion.
4 — Confirm status and dates
Use the status and status-effective date shown in the live record. An apparently unexpired certificate copy is not current evidence where the register shows suspension, scope reduction, withdrawal or expiry.
Verification by certification object
Education Organization
Match the legal organization and check the included education activities, locations, programmes, learner groups, delivery modes, partners and exclusions. The object uses 30 Foundation requirements and 15 evidence packages.
Education Technology Service
Match the responsible legal entity, the named service and the educational content or learning functions included in the certified scope. Check the stated versions, users, jurisdictions and exclusions. General software, infrastructure and technical quality are not certified. The object uses 24 Foundation requirements and 12 evidence packages.
Educational Product
Match the responsible legal entity, the named product and the educational content or learning functions included in the certified scope. Check the stated models, editions or versions, intended users, uses, markets and exclusions. General manufacturing, hardware and technical quality are not certified. The object uses 21 Foundation requirements and 12 evidence packages.
Public certificate status
Active
Certification is current only for the holder, object, scope, ICEQC basis and validity period shown in the record.
Active — scope reduced
Certification remains active only for the narrower scope currently shown. Removed scope is no longer certified.
Suspended
Certification is temporarily inactive for the affected scope. It must not be represented as active unless and until a restoration decision becomes effective.
Withdrawn
ICEQC has ended certification through an effective status decision. The record may remain available to preserve verification history and prevent misleading reliance.
Expired
The validity period ended without an effective renewed certificate. An application or review in progress does not extend the prior certificate.
If no matching record is returned
Do not rely on the certificate or certification claim. Recheck the complete certificate number, the holder's legal name and spelling. A search result does not disclose whether a person has applied, is under review, was refused or has any other non-public relationship with ICEQC.
If a certificate, mark or current-certification claim remains in public use without a matching record, preserve the URL or document, note the date observed and use Report Suspected Misuse. If you believe the register contains a technical or clerical error, provide the record identity, disputed field and supporting source through Contact ICEQC.
Public data boundary
The register publishes the information necessary to identify and interpret certification. It does not publish application evidence, learner records, personal information, security-sensitive material, internal risk classifications, assessment notes, confidential commercial information or protected decision material unless disclosure is authorized, lawful and necessary.
A public record may show historical status and correction events where necessary for transparency. Historical information must state the relevant dates and former effect clearly and must not be displayed in a manner likely to suggest current active certification.
