Certification terms
Applicant
An entity that has submitted an application for an identified ICEQC certification activity.
Certified client
The legal holder of a current ICEQC certificate.
Certification object
The organization, service, system, product or defined claim that is subject to conformity verification for certification.
Certification scope
The precise public boundary of the certification object, including material inclusions, modes, locations or environments and exclusions.
Certification scheme
The controlled rules that specify how certification applies to a defined category of certification object.
Verification terms
Conformity (C)
Fulfilment of an applicable requirement established through sufficient verified evidence.
Nonconformity (NC)
Non-fulfilment of an applicable requirement.
Not applicable (N/A)
A recorded determination that a complete requirement does not apply to the confirmed certification object and scope on an objective basis accepted by ICEQC.
Remediation
Action that corrects a nonconformity, addresses its cause and provides current evidence showing that the correction is in use.
Recognized evidence
Evidence produced by an appropriately qualified, authorized or independent source and accepted for a defined fact outside direct ICEQC verification.
Document language
- Shall indicates a requirement.
