Is ICEQC a government regulator?
No. ICEQC is independent, nonprofit and nongovernmental. Its certification is voluntary and does not replace governmental authorization, licensing or regulatory supervision.
Does ICEQC accredit universities, schools or degree programmes?
ICEQC certifies conformity within a defined ICEQC certification scope. It does not exercise governmental institutional or programme accreditation authority and does not recognize degrees or establish academic equivalency.
Can a new organization apply?
It may submit initial information, but a positive decision requires sufficient representative operating evidence. Plans and policies alone cannot demonstrate requirements concerned with implemented practice or results.
Is assessment entirely remote?
ICEQC conducts assessment remotely. It uses authenticated records, interviews, data, demonstrations, witnessed activity and recognized specialist evidence. If a material condition cannot be established reliably, the scope is limited or a positive determination is not made.
Does ICEQC use scores or certification levels?
No. Applicable requirements are determined as conforming or nonconforming. Non-applicability must have an objective basis confirmed by ICEQC. Certification is not ranked, graded, scored or tiered.
Can certification be issued while corrective action remains open?
No. Every applicable nonconformity must be corrected and verified closed before a positive certification decision.
How long does certification take?
The case plan depends on scope, complexity, readiness, evidence quality, access, findings and corrective action. An indicative schedule cannot guarantee certification by a requested commercial date.
How can a certificate be verified?
Search the ICEQC Public Certificate Register using the certificate number or legal organization name, then review the exact scope, edition, validity dates and current status.
