Name

1.1 This document is ICEQC-PRD-4000, Education Quality Certification Scheme for Educational Products.

2

Purpose

2.1 This document establishes education quality requirements for the educational content, learning functions and related controls contained in a defined Educational Product.

3

Certification boundary

3.1 Certification is voluntary and applies only to the stated educational content, learning functions and related education quality controls. It does not certify general manufacturing quality, hardware performance or technical fitness and does not confer governmental authority, a licence, market authorization, product safety approval, academic equivalency or a ranking. Technical controls are considered only where a published requirement protects the integrity, accessibility or safe use of the educational content.

4

Conformity determination

4.1 Each applicable requirement shall be determined only as C or NC. NA requires confirmed objective non-applicability. Certification is prohibited while any applicable requirement is NC or any nonconformity remains open.

5

Remote assessment

5.1 Assessment is conducted remotely through controlled documents, data, interviews, demonstrations, independent sampling and suitable specialist evidence. ICEQC does not conduct routine on-site assessment.

6

Product object and version scope

6.1 The provider shall define the exact product models, components, software, accessories, intended learners, intended uses, exclusions and public claims within scope. 6.2 Application — Applies throughout every scope component using this standard. 6.3 Non-applicability — NA is not available where the stated condition exists. 6.4 Determination — Conformity exists only where current, attributable and verified evidence establishes this requirement across the complete applicable scope.

7

Educational purpose and use conditions

7.1 The product shall have defined educational purposes, intended users, setup, operating environment and conditions outside intended use. 7.2 Application — Applies throughout every scope component using this standard. 7.3 Non-applicability — NA is not available where the stated condition exists. 7.4 Determination — Conformity exists only where current, attributable and verified evidence establishes this requirement across the complete applicable scope.
